August 2005
St. Gabriel Radio, Inc. begins broadcasting on WUCO 1270 AM out of Marysville, Ohio becoming the first and only Catholic Radio station in central Ohio.
July 2007
Moves administrative offices to 1585 Bethel Road in Columbus in order to the draw on the resources and commitment from the larger central Ohio area.
December 24, 2008
Begins leasing 1580 AM as the Catholic Radio flagship for central Ohio. The new, larger signal reaches nearly all of central Ohio during daylight hours. William Messerly is hired as the Executive Director.
October, 2009
Bishop Frederick Campbell, in conjunction with St. Gabriel Catholic Radio, begins providing weekly addresses on St. Gabriel Radio.
December 17, 2011
St. Gabriel Catholic Radio begins broadcasting on its new, permanent home, AM 820, formally WOSU-AM.
May 11, 2015
St. Peter the Rock Media in Cleveland, Ohio, through the guidance from St. Gabriel Radio, began broadcasting on AM 1260 reaching over 2 million souls in northeast Ohio.
Fall 2016
Office renovation is completed at the St. Gabriel Radio’s offices at 4673 Winterset Drive. The renovation includes the addition of a chapel, conference room, storage, and numerous pieces of religious art.
July 2017
Encounter Radio with Patrick Reis and Dan DeMatte becomes St. Gabriel Radio’s first locally produced program that is syndicated on EWTN.
April 29, 2018
With the encouragement and guidance from St. Gabriel Radio leadership and engineering, Atlanta Catholic Radio, Inc. begins broadcasting on 1060 AM in Atlanta, GA reaching over 3 million souls.
January, 6 2019
St. Gabriel Radio acquires WUKV 88.3 FM in New Boston, Ohio and realizes the long-term goal of reaching the entire Diocese of Columbus with a terrestrial radio signal. WUKV’s new call letters are changed to WSGR and the station covers Chillicothe, Portsmouth, Ironton and all points in between.
