Show Description:
The Saint Gabriel Café show airing the week of May 13th, 2024.
Monday: One of the premises of Catholic Social Teaching is on the dignity of work: that work is a good thing for us to do! Breaking it open with us today are Mark Huddy and Jim Gernetzke. As a bonus, at the beginning of the show, our host Amanda Miller’s mom joins briefly as she was in town over the weekend!
Tuesday: Dr. Marlon De La Torre sets up our newest focus on his regular Tuesday appearances as we dive into the themes of his newest book and work through dealing with spiritual warfare, and Peggy Hartyshorn continues a series on her book, The Love Approach.
Wednesday: Jo Welsh calls in to the Café with an update on the World’s Largest Diaper Drive – swing by our station to drop off diapers and help those families in need! We are trying to get to 820 by the end of the month (get it? AM 820?). After that, Andy and Cathy Johanni return to the Café together to share some beautiful testimonies from their lives.
Thursday: Gettting to know some of our new Café friends today! Jason Spoolstra from the Office of Marriage and Family here in the Diocese of Columbus shares his journey to the state of Ohio and what he’s doing downtown to grow our wonderful Diocese, and Brian Hickey follows him up by sharing a bit about his work with the Catholic Conference of Ohio and being a Catholic voice in the political sphere.
Friday: Eucharistic revival is upon us! We’re excited to kick off the Eucharistic pilgrimages from afar as Fr. Roger Landry and his team prepare to leave New Haven, Connecticut, along the Seton Route of the National Eucharistic Revival – he joins us by phone to discuss. Then, Liz Christy and MaryBeth Eberhard get excited with us for the rest of the show as we look forward to Eucharistic Revival in our Diocese.
